Actually, there is no jumpscare in the game technically. You walked straight into the monster most of the time, it's not because you can't see the him, he's not here (same goes for the objects btw) :)
Okay, I wasn't sure. Too bad You Tube isn't good enough to make a good translation by himself on the video. If you have feedbacks for us in english, it would be really usefull and awesome for us !
We understand french and german too. Maybe it's better for you ? :)
Such an incredible concept; i'm surprised it hasn't been done before this (to my knowledge)! Would love a sequel, or even an expanded version with different threats and similar-concept item implication. Would be awesome! Looking forward to future endeavors!
Loved the idea, and would love to see it expanded and added more threats, kinda got easy after learning the path the monsters took, but overall really good!
Glad you liked the game ! We didn't had the time to create a real AI for the monster in only 48 hours, so for for the moment it's pretty easy to overcome his pre-determined path. Hope it will be better in a bigger game. :)
I can't wait to play the bigger game! I absolutely loved the idea for this game. It still amazes me what people can make in 48 hours! Keep up the good work!
We had the one button press in mind for a moment, but it takes away a part of the stress you can get from changing frequencies. Actually we want to lose the player a little bit in the environment with such a mechanic. :)
I really like the concept of the game! I love how I was basically in control of the environment and how I have to be smart about my actions or else I boned myself lol. but I would really love to see you guys expand on this game (why we're in this place to begin with, what's going on, what's up with the monster, etc etc) otherwise it was a really great game for being made in a short amount of time! Hope to see more from you guys! :D
I really like the concept, but I feel the levels are slightly to tight/cramped for it to really shine. Much of the time I had to just go in randomly and scout ahead, because trying to figure out the layout of objects and avoiding the monster at the same time is a bit hard :D
Loved the visuals and the areas though. The way things looks really works well.
With slightly more space and fewer tight corridors this could be a really cool thing! Want to see more in the future!
Nice video ! Losing a little bit the player by figuring out the environment and where the monster is, is actually the whole point of the game :)
The game was made in 48 hours, so yeah, the level design is not the best you can get, it can be tight sometimes. If we make a bigger game, it won't like that we think.
ah fair enough! It''s a really neat concept so I'm hoping to see more from you guys in the future! For a 48hr game you really did a good job with the game mechanics and atmosphere
I loved this game, the frequency mechanic is amazing, creative, unique, and just frustrating enough to add a great deal of tension in using it, I did need a bit more explanation, as there is a very large frequency bar and only the 2 frequencies that exist, but I figured it out. Also loved the atmosphere and monster design. I think I the sensitivity of the monster was high for my play-through, I've watched other videos since that have gotten much closer to the monster without setting off the kill screen, but it was still fun and I hope to see more of this in the future, 5/5 Great work and thank you!
I'm just a smaller YouTuber and really cant compare to all the other videos on this site, but I will give my two cents. I really liked it, it was very unique and well thought out.
The gameplay mechanics were a little clunky, but I think that worked more in favor of the game than against it. A big critique I had though was how frustrating it was when the monsters got close to you and the filter of the camera adjusted itself. I'd get caught on things in the environment I was initially trying to avoid that I could no longer see.
While that does also add to the panic of the game, it also made it kinda frustrating and took me a little bit to get used to. Nevertheless, the game was put together very nicely. 8.5/10 https://youtu.be/5qGdAwOYrZc
Thanks for the feedbacks ! The frequency changes when the monster see you are done on purpose, we wanted something new for a horror game, not like the hundreds of other games you can get most of the time (walk, jumpscare, over, that's it). We wanted that the player feel more active and think about what he is doing in the environment.
Very cool and very creepy. Overall great atmosphere. I really liked the visual effects and how it wasn't quite obvious what to do but wasn't cheap about it.
I could see these ideas incorporated into a longer game.
Some tweaks for a better understanding of the game mostly. It's the same game basically don't worry, if you want to give another go, feel free to do it :)
Excellent concept! The frequency mechanic was really unique and it was very impressive that this was created in such a short time. Keep up the good work and I hope to see some more excellent content in the future!
Check out my channel for similar videos (MastaCGaming) :-)
I loved the game it scare jumped me a little and i was so into the game all and all it was a pretty good game i wish it was longer though. But again I loved it. THANKS FOR THE AWESOME GAME!!
Although I did not make it that far, this game was a great play haha the whole creepy aspect nailed, with the whole switching frequencies thank you for the experience!
Haha thought so, just got freaked out, but thanks for replying I am glad you at least found the gameplay at least entertaining and it made ya chuckle abit! XD I liked it, thank you for giving me the chance to play!
This game put me on edge and I obviously was a tad confused on what to do but I will be coming back to this at some point. The monster and the atmosphere creeps me out man xD You have a great horror game here guys, very good concept and very different to the indie horror games I've played, you have a lot of potential i this game guys, good job! I'll be recommending people to play it and give their take on it!
Great concept man! I love games that are a bit realistic, and give some logical reason for the gameplay style, the atmosphere is cool too, 'twas fun to play :D
Here's a video I made:
if you want to check, best of luck for the full release, can't wait for more original content from you guys!
Nice that you liked the game ! We didn't thought it could look like a praying mantis :). Most of the time, people compare it to something totally different.
Just to be sure, did you understand the frequency mechanic ? It seems like you only play on the blue frequency (objects frequency), and almost never on red frequency (monster frequency). This is why you get caught by the monster all the time without knowing it. Try to play by changing the frequency more often. :)
Just that you know, there is no actual jumpscares in the game.
At the end of the video you're talking about a game with a similar concept. Do you remember the name ? If we make a longer version of V.H.S, it would be cool to see those kind of games. We don't want to copy paste other games without knowing it, we want to make something original.
Pretty neat game you have here!! I have a few suggestions I mention at the end of the following video on what you could do. I also want to mention that this is probably the most unique style of gameplay I have seen off of this site in a while! Maybe if you implement the concept in an even more terrifying horror story, it would make for a really successful game!!
The game was made in only 2 days during a game jam, so most of the development time we focused on the frequency mechanic, the main feature. So yes, we would like to implement a good story, running, all that kind of stuff that can make the game better and more fleshed out. We're already thinking about the improvements we can put in the concept for the future.
I truly cant wait to see what you do with that mechanic! I followed because I want to see how you will be implementing it in the future! You have something good here!!!
This is a great horror game that really forces you to make a choice of navigating or avoiding inevitable death. The music, visuals, and gameplay are amazing, and the not being able to run or hide really adds to the suspense. Great Job! I made a Let's Play!:
Thanks for your kind words and video DotGhost ! A lot of people seems to like the game, so maybe we will transform it into a full fledged and longer game one day.

Neat stuff, very original concept.
Glad to hear that ! Thanks !
Digging the concept :D.
Thanks for the video !
The jumpscares for me were simply too much!!!
Actually, there is no jumpscare in the game technically. You walked straight into the monster most of the time, it's not because you can't see the him, he's not here (same goes for the objects btw) :)
Looks great! Get back to me on Tim@playsource.co for further feature
XD
We can't understand your language, but it's look like you liked the game, that's nice ! :)
Thanks for the video !
my language is arabic and yes the game is amazing

Hi i recorded a video in this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYTXPEJRZCk
Thanks for the video !
No problem
this game is something ^_^ a bit scary and have the perfect game play time ...at least for me XD watch me video
Thanks !
I watched some gameplays, this is creepy and well designed but i think it's a bit short, does it really end in this way or are there some easter eggs?
It's a bit short because we made the game in a short amount of time (48 hours exactly) ! :)
(Maybe there is easter eggs too)
What a terrifying and brilliant experience. LOVE to see more of this!
Thanks ! We hope we will be able to make a bigger better game, such comments is good motivation for us !

I hope you keep doing games like these. Thanks a lot.
Here is my let's play.
You're welcome, thanks for the video !
I can see now why DVDs superseded VHS tapes.
Thanks for the video ! When did you record it ? You're playing with an old version of the game.
Hey there! Sorry, played it a while ago and it got eaten by my editing pile so only just got round to it :p
What's changed in the new version? Might have to replay :D
Some tweaks for a better understanding of the game mostly. It's the same game basically don't worry, if you want to give another go, feel free to do it :)

We made the game in only 2 days, so it was a little bit rushed, we really didn't expect that some people will be scared like that. :)
It's cool to see that tou liked it a lot !
Haha yeah no worries, you guys did a great job regardless, especialy scaring the shit outta me, 5/5 rating for sure! :D

I played this a few days ago, pretty freaky
Glad you liked it !
I really liked the tracking mechanic! Hope you make a full game out of this, it'll be very interesting to see!
We're glad that you liked it ! Maybe one day it will become a bigger game.
This game though T_T never ending jumpscares

I guess without using the red frequency there is lol :(
This game is great elegant simple mechanic excellent execution. It does a whole lot with very little!
We're happy that you liked our game ! Thanks !
A great 10 minutes of fun. Good concept and I'd like to see a more fleshed out version in the future.
